Real Techniques Silicone Liner Brush

Since I've been using MAC Fluidline as my goto eyeliner lately, I've been needing a change of liner brush. When I heard about the Real Techniques new silicone liner brush, I've just wanted to try it out!
I went on iHerb and bought the Real Techniques brush kits which I wont be doing a review on, since there are so many reviews on it, and lets face it.. there are all amazing brushes.

This costed $4.74 USD which is about $5-$5.50 AUD, how cheap is that?! I'm not sure if they sell this at Priceline since it is quite a new brush, but we all know the prices here are crazy compared with the UK and US.

The brush handle is like the other Real Technique eye brushes, a purple metal casing that surrounds two thirds of the brush whilst the other third is a matte black plastic on the ends, it just gives the brush a really sleek look.

The brush is just like a liquid eyeliner brush but instead of having bristles, its just silicone. The silicone is firmly stuck onto the barrel, while the tip is really flexible to apply eyeliner easily onto the lids. I also really love how the tip cant get ruined compared to bristled brushes so I can always create the perfect flick every single time.
Really the only bad thing about this brush is how the gel liner dries quickly on the silicone so I have to keep going in the liner or I either have to pack on some more liner on the brush. But that doesnt really bother me that much since the final result of my eyeliner looks amazing when I use this.
Washing this brush is so much quicker too. I use the Daiso puff and sponge detergent to wash my bristled brushes but to wash this brush, you dont have to do the typical, scrubbing onto your palm, you have to put a teeny drop of the detergent and use your finger to scrub away the liner and it just flakes off. And to dry the brush, just use a paper towel and BAM your done, no drying time whatsoever.

I really recommend this brush for people who love the cat-wing or flicked eyeliner look. You seriously need this in your brush collection!

Sigma E40 Arrived!

Bought the Sigma E40 around 1-2 weeks ago and recieved it yesterday!
I was completely excited when I got this in the mail, seeing as though this is my first ever Sigma brush I own.
So the brush came in a long parcel, which included card, brochure and a box containing the brush (reminded me of the apple pies that Mcdonalds sell)

The card contained instructions on cleaning and maintaining the brush. Pretty helpful if you don't know what Spot cleaning and Deep cleaning is!

The brochure showed the collection of the individual brushes, I really want to get the F40 next for my bronzer and probably the E30 & E65.

Lastly the box containing my brush.

Review coming soon~

The brush I got was the E40 or the Tapered Blending brush, I did mention I wanted a brush for blending and  for the crease so I really wanted this one.
I'm definitely going to save up for the Mr Bunny set next, so happy with the quality and the fast shipping!

Essence Smokey Eyes Brush

Honestly finding the perfect crease brush seemed pretty hard for me. Seeing as though I had the typical Asian eyes, small eyes and a bit of the hooded eyelid. Finding a crease brush that was inexpensive and fitted my crease took a while to find. Luckily while I was searching through Essence online, I found out that they sold this Smokey Eyes Brush! I found mine at Priceline for $2.55, I know they also sell this at Target if you don't have a Priceline store near you :)

At first when I saw this I thought it was a small eyeshadow brush which made me not get it. But up close it looks like a small crease brush (although don't take my word for it since im not a brush expert)

So the back it shows you how to do a makeup look using the Essence Smokey Eyes Brush and other of their products too!

I actually really like the packaging! The handle is a matte black and it has the Essence logo in purple.

Now the brush itself is a dark purple colour. The bristles are more rounded in person than in the picture, now when I first felt the bristle it felt so soft! Probably not the softest I've felt but pretty standard in brushes.
When I used it, it was prefect for applying eyeshadow to the outer V and crease, though it might take longer to blend with but its just right for my eyeshape!
Sadly the bad news to this product was that it did start shedding. But it didn't really bother me that much since I'll be buying another one as a back up! :D

Ecotools Power Brush

After using a sponge to apply my powder for quite awhile, i was always wanting a powder brush to apply my powder but i never got around to doing it because of the prices ($10-$20). I popped into Priceline a few weeks ago and decided to go buy the Ecotools powderbrush (i want a Ecotools collection :p) it costed me $17.99 which was out of my budget, but i was in a spending spree mood. But it was all worth it because it was a good quality brush. (come on it's Ecotools!)

What I love about Ecotools is that the brushes come in a reusable pouch (I just store it away) and the brushes are also earth-friendly and cruelty free! Each brush pouch has a green tip on each with different tips to be green! (very useful) and it also tells you how to use the brush. What I didn't like about the pouch was that it was securely shut, so if you have grippy fingers or long nails it would come in handy. I mean it's good that it was secure and all but it hurt my nails afterwards.

So the brush is synthetic and was very soft, when I first got this I was running this over my face. But the sides of the brush hairs feel a bit rough, it didnt matter though since I wasn't going to be using the sides. If you can see in the picture the brush is angled which helps to get every nook and cranny, also can be used to apply blush and bronzer!

Pros:

-Good for the environment!
-Soft at the tips
-The packaging is simple yet attractive to me
-Comes with a pouch which would be handy if you're travelling!
-Applys my powder evenly
-Versatile, you can apply your blush & bronzer with it (I use it to contour my cheeks)
-Hasn't shedded on me

Cons:

-Expensive, but it is worth it!
-Hard to open the pouch.

Showing how much product it can pick up.
Im not exactly a makeup brush expert since this is the first powder brush I've got.

Latest Haulage!

Went out shopping today! After saving up for my camera I'm now free to buy my makeup again!

Ecotools Powder Brush- $17.99 @ Priceline

I was contemplating between the powder brush or the set that had the blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, eyebrow/lash, concealer brushes for $34 but I didnt have enough so I just bought the powder. Finally bought a brush for my powder foundation.

Rimmel London Glam'Eyes Professional Liquid Liner in 001 Black Glamour- $9.56 @ Priceline

Needed a new liquid eyeliner and I saw this on sale so I decided to try it out.

Rimmel London I Love Lasting Finish in 053 Apricot Punch- $2.95 @ MyChemist

Saw this on the MyChemist catalogue, used to be $5.95 so I saved $3! I usually only buy nail polish if it is under $3. I bought the Apricot Punch because I really love peachy/coraly nail colours.

Ulta3 Nail Polish in Earl Grey- $2 @ Target

Was walking through the aisles and saw a grey nail polish which seems really rare so I bought it and the grey colour reminded me of Totoro, im hoping to do some Totoro nail art sometime.

Storage Boxes- $2.80 Each @ Daiso

Since I bought more nail polishes I had no more space on my desk so I bought the white stackable boxes and for the yellow box, it has a magnet at the back to stick it on a fridge and lucky for me my desk is actually next to the fridge so it would come in handy to store my pens & pencils!

Ecotools Eyeshadow Brush Review

I've heard soo many great reviews on the Ecotools brush line. After wanting it for so long but not being able to buy the brush set, I decided to buy the eyeshadow brush.

Price: $7.99

The price seemed decent, wasn't cheap but wasn't expensive but it really is worth its price!

Packaging:

So the brush came in a reusable pouch which I thought was handy for it to be stored in. But the pouch is kind of like a zip lock bag except the lock is very hard to open (well in my opinion it is) took a lot of my strength and fingernails to get the thing open, it was a pain, I did not store my brush in it.
But the pouch does have some good sides to it like the writing on the back, I thought it was cool that it had a Green Tip on the back, taught me some new things! and the pattern on the front was also cool!

Used white eyeshadow to show how much it can pick up

Product:

[[Just going to let you know that this is my first ever eyeshadow brush I own so I cant really compare with other brushes.]]

Pros:

• It picks up the eyeshadow really well
• Very soft
• The bristles are tapered in, so it's easy to get into the inner corners
• No stray hairs yet after a week of using it! :D
• The hair hasnt fallen out

Cons:

• Washing the brush is a pain. (I use soap/dish washing liquid to clean it and the bubbles get into where the metal is)

Conclusion:

I would buy def buy this again, well the other brushes! But the prices are way too pricey for my money in my opinion. but I will be saving up to buy more (:
