Lucas' Papaw Ointment

Went out to go get a few things and ended up buying Lucas' Papaw Ointment.
I remember I was always seeing this everywhere in shops, nothing more eye-catching than red and black packaging! So I was always whining about my super dry, cracking lips which were always in pain, I was asking people what lip balm or product to use and the answer would be Lucas' Papaw Ointment.

I got the 25g Tube since I was always using my brothers 75g Tub, I wanted to get my own to use. So I bought this at Target for $4.99.
The main ingredient in it is Carica Papaya aka papaw or pawpaw which has many healing properties.

"The ointment helps to relieve and cleanse"
I actually only use this on my lips so I haven't tested it out on the other stuff since I don't like the feeling of it on my skin. But this did help unchap my super dry cracked lips after a day of use!

When I first got this, I noticed the triangular shape caved into the lid I was a bit confuzzled.

But I realised the lid helped open up the cap attached to where the product comes out of. You just pop the lid on top of the cap and twist until it pops open.

To be honest I don't really like the packaging to the Papaw ointment, I thought it was a slanted applicator so it was easier to apply that's why I bought the tube and I also don't like using my finger to apply lipbalms cause I do have long nails so the product gets under my nails which I have to wipe off with a tissue.

The consistency was a like petroleum jelly (because it contains it) but feels light when applied on the lips, a little bit does go a long way.

I would repurchase this since it does work amazingly well, saved my lips as well!

Giveaway Goodies!

As you can see, yes I won another giveaway!
It came in the mail 2 days ago, I was just in the procrastination mode so I never got to post it up.
Giveaways get me so excited, I actually can't wait until I hold a giveaway myself.
I won Dawns 600 Follower Giveaway, I never expected to win it so I didnt have any expectations until I got a email, I couldn't wait to recieve it!

They came in the mail well packaged, I got the MUA's Heaven and Earth, Undressed and Pretty Pastel pallettes! They looked smaller than I thought it was but it made them extra cute.

Pretty Pastel Palette

I was going to buy this myself since the colours look bright and colourful. Also perfect to use since Spring has came along in Australia!

Heaven and Earth Palette

I have never owned a brown eyeshadow palette before since I was always getting the palettes that had black or grey tones. But I can't wait to use the matte browns in my crease!

Undressed Palette

I heard that this was the dupe to the Urban Decay Naked Palette. Honestly I never knew what the rave was about on the Naked palette since I'm not too keen on shimmer eyeshadows, but seeing this palette has got me at love at first sight haha :)

Rimmel Soft Kohl Eyeliner Pencil - Jet Black

After hearing so many raves on this and seeing so many beauty gurus using this on their waterline, I was always wanting to buy this, since I am still looking for my HG black pencil eyeliner for the waterline.

I actually got this eyeliner from the Rimmel Xmas 2011 Pack which should be discontinued by now but you can also get this eyeliner at places that sell Rimmel stuff, which will cost around $8 unless it's on sale.

Got the colour in 061 Jet Black, luckily it was the one I wanted!

The tip will be much sharper when you first get it, I just used it.
On the Rimmel website it claimed that the eyeliner was:
Soft, smudgeable colour with an improved staying power.
Soft: Yes
Smudgable: Yes
Staying Power: No
I'll explain the staying power later on.

Comparison of Milani and Rimmel
As you can see, Milani is still the most pigmented black eyeliner I own but if you keep building up the colour for the Rimmel eyeliner it does become a deep black.

The staying power after 3 hours.
Okay I did cheat a bit, I put on the eyeliner at home and left it on to see how long it would last for and it only lasted for 3 hours before the eyeliner started to melt in the inner parts due to my watery eyes.
I also did use the eyeliner on the top lashline (not in the picture) to use at school since I had no liquid eyeliner to use and it gave me panda eyes at the end of the day sadly. (I have extremely oily eyelids so there's no surprise there)

I wouldn't repurchase this but it might work for the less oily eyelidders!
and I am still in the faze of trying out all black pencil eyeliners out there so more eyeliner reviews to come!

Haulage!

Went out to go find a small birthday present for my friend but I ended up buying other items than expected.

Nature's Care Paw Paw Lip Balm- $2.96 @ Priceline

I was going to try this out because I heard that it was very similar to Lucas Papaw Ointment and it was also a lot cheaper!

Lucas' Papaw Ointment- $4.99 @ Target

I really needed to get this even though I already bought the Natures Care Paw Paw Lip Balm, I was using my brothers Lucas Papaw Ointment in the 75g Jar and it seemed like a hassle since I was keeping his jar on my desk since I used it all the time so I decided to go buy my own.

Essence Coverstick in 05 Matt Beige- $3.95 @ Priceline

I heard from MissGlamorazzi that she really liked this coverstick so I wanted to try it, I didnt actually try out if the colour worked on me or not yet, so Im hoping that it will fit it!

Australis Deodorant in Pure Musk- $0.83each @ Target

I was walking through the makeup aisles at Target and I saw that the Australis Deodorants were 83 cents each! Honestly that made me get both which were the last two. I'm also a big fan of the Vanilla scented one.

NYC Color in Lemon

Haven't used this polish for months now since I felt as if wearing yellow didn't suit my "style" but I only recently got into pastel nail polishes.
Though this starting chipping a bit during the second day, I love the pastel yellow!
I haven't seen stores selling NYC polishes for a while so Im hoping they still sell them since I'm loving this colour!

Maybelline Color Tattoo-Tough as Taupe

I'm pretty sure most people have heard about the Color Tattoos and its amazing "24hr wear" and the range of colours. I personally really wanted the taupe color seeing as though I have never owned a taupe eyeshadow and it was also non shimmer/glitter and I have a thing for matte eyeshadows!

Purchased this at Priceline while it was on sale for $9.56!
Got the one in 35 Tough as Taupe. I heard some other countries had different names and packaging to the Australian one?
Contains 14oz/4g, quite a lot of product for my use.

The bottom of the Color Tattoo has the sticker on it. I like how it's in a jar form as it is a lot easier to store in my makeup drawer. But I found that the bottom of the jar was kind of wasteful since it was just 1cm of emptiness that could've been filled with product or just removed to make the jar a lot more smaller.

In flash
Accidentally shoved my fingernail in it... :(
The colour looked like a dark taupe colour, its great as an overall lid color or a base aswell!
I use it on my lids and sometimes with some sheer black shadow on the outer corners.

When you dip your fingers in in the product actually looks more darker than what was in the jar.

As for the product it did crease a very very small bit on my lids (I have very oily lids so no surprise) after around 6ish hours, which is amazing for my lids, if you have normal lids it would definitely stay on your lids for along time, maybe 24 hours. But the creasing I didnt mind since it isn't noticeable unless I close my lids. (the skin above my crease fold over my lids so my eyelid is pretty small), but when I used this product on my lower lashline it faded and smudged.

As for the pigmentation it does look like what it looks like once you dip your fingers in it. It's also build able and dries matte!

Swatch:

I would give this product a 4.5/5, it didn't last on my lower lashline sadly.
I would definitely repurchase this though!

NYC Color in Peachy Keen

For those who don't know, I got this from Super Purdy's Giveaway!
I've been wanting to try this colour for awhile when I got it, so I got around to doing it.

The colour is more on the pastel orange side than a peach colour.
I love wearing pastel colours during spring since it just looks happy to wear :D

Ecotools Power Brush

After using a sponge to apply my powder for quite awhile, i was always wanting a powder brush to apply my powder but i never got around to doing it because of the prices ($10-$20). I popped into Priceline a few weeks ago and decided to go buy the Ecotools powderbrush (i want a Ecotools collection :p) it costed me $17.99 which was out of my budget, but i was in a spending spree mood. But it was all worth it because it was a good quality brush. (come on it's Ecotools!)

What I love about Ecotools is that the brushes come in a reusable pouch (I just store it away) and the brushes are also earth-friendly and cruelty free! Each brush pouch has a green tip on each with different tips to be green! (very useful) and it also tells you how to use the brush. What I didn't like about the pouch was that it was securely shut, so if you have grippy fingers or long nails it would come in handy. I mean it's good that it was secure and all but it hurt my nails afterwards.

So the brush is synthetic and was very soft, when I first got this I was running this over my face. But the sides of the brush hairs feel a bit rough, it didnt matter though since I wasn't going to be using the sides. If you can see in the picture the brush is angled which helps to get every nook and cranny, also can be used to apply blush and bronzer!

Pros:

-Good for the environment!
-Soft at the tips
-The packaging is simple yet attractive to me
-Comes with a pouch which would be handy if you're travelling!
-Applys my powder evenly
-Versatile, you can apply your blush & bronzer with it (I use it to contour my cheeks)
-Hasn't shedded on me

Cons:

-Expensive, but it is worth it!
-Hard to open the pouch.

Showing how much product it can pick up.
Im not exactly a makeup brush expert since this is the first powder brush I've got.
