Klean Color Tattoo Eye Liquid Eyeliner in Black

Being one of them frequent eyeliner users, I'm always on the lookout for new eyeliners to try. I was searching through eyeliners on Ebay and found the Klean Color Tattoo Liquid Liner for only $4.90 + $1.80 postage and being the cheapo that I am, of course I had to get it. Though I am skeptical about cheap makeup products so I was 80% sure that it would not be a good product but doesnt hurt to try stuff right?

big high five to the people who can guess the orange thing!

I know Kleancolour has a range of cheap makeup products like nail polish and eyeshadows which can be hard to find in Australia, but I know it's an American brand and trying out American products gets very exciting for me.
Though the packaging is pretty frustrating as it takes up a lot of space and is made with a cheap feeling plastic.

I personally love liquid liners with a brush tip rather than a felt tip cause I find them harsh to use on the lids, sadly this has a felt tip which is a downer. Also with the felt tip, it doesnt evenly apply the liner so I have to tap the product on, to get an even pigmentation. The liner also dries quickly so the liner does become patchy if I go over it.

And to answer the question of whether I love it or not?! It's 80% love and 20% meh.
The formula of the liner is so amazing. during the cooler seasons it lasts all day (no joke) I even tested it on the bottom lash line (put 3 dots pictured above) and it probably lasted around 3 hours of shopping with my mum with no smudging or flaking.
During summer it doesn't last as much on the watery ends, but with primer underneath it lasts, even on the ends.
Also it is the most waterproof eyeliner I own. How do I know? I actually take off most my makeup when I shower and this eyeliner does not budge at all unless I try to rub it off. I'd say I wouldn't go swimming with it on unless you're going for a thin natural line but if the weather turns out to be rain it would be perfect to use.

If Kleancolor changed the packaging of this eyeliner I think this would be my HG eyeliner. For the price and formula it is worth it all.

Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner in Black

Being the eye-liner fanatic that I am, I'm always on the look out to try out new eyeliners.
I'm also still trying to find the ultimate eyeliner to with-stand my oily lids and the watery-ness at both ends of my eyes.
I've already tried quite a few liquid eyeliners and most have been disappointing when it came to withstanding my watery eyes, so when I bought the Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liner, I had a feeling it would also be the same... and sadly I was right.

Can I just stop to say how much I love the pink metallic writing against the black?!

I purchased this at Mychemist for $6.97 during it's 50% off sale.
The thing that had drawn me the most to it was it's brush. It's nothing fancy, but I like to aim for brushes that can do thin lines and thick lines. There are days where I rock the think liner and there are days where I rock the thin line so those eyeliners are preferable.

The brush
The brush really reminded me of the Rimmel Glam Eyes. But a teeny bit thicker.
Since I'm used to applying eyeliner, I cant be the judge of whether it's easy to use or not but it was easy to use. When I wiped the excess eyeliner off on the bottle, the brush turns into a flat applicator which helped apply the eyeliner in one straight line (in my experience though). It's probably the best eyeliner brush I've used so far.

L-R: Dollywink, 24 Hour K-Palette, Rimmel Glam Eyes, Lancome Artline, Maybelline Hyper Glossy
Wish Flash
As you can see in the swatches, it's very glossy and very pigmented!
I was surprised at how pigmented it was.
But when I had it on my lids, it wasn't as glossy and didn't seem as pigmented, but it was pigmented enough for me to be content with it.

Clockwise: First applied, rubbing test, after 5-6 hours, close-up of the end.
I like to extend my eyeliner around 1 cm from the end of my eyes, so I have to create another line from the ends of my eyes to the tip of my eyeliner, which is the most watery part of my eye. ( AKA the danger zone).
From the picture above, the eyeliner didn't last on the "danger zone" after 5-6 hours, it pretty much separated. I also found that after 1-2 hours with it on, it made a small trail of eyeliner coming from the ends.
But if I look on the bright side, it would be a really good eyeliner if I dont use it near the watery space.
I found that it didnt smudge when it was raining (unlike the Rimmel Glam Eyes) and it creates a really precise wing.
So I would assume that it would be a HG eyeliner  for most people, but for me it just didnt win me over.

Rimmel London Glam'Eyes Professional Liquid Liner - Black Glamour

Popped into Priceline during the weekend just to go buy some new makeup products!
I saw in the Rimmel London area, some products were on sale and lucky for me that I needed a new liquid eyeliner to try out after my Dollywink Liquid Liner sadly ran out. I had to choose between 2 liquid eyeliners, one was just $2-$3 extra and was actually smaller so I just bought this one.

Bought the one in Black Glamour. Just the usual black liquid eyeliner.

Price: $9.56

Most liquid eyeliners were actually around the $10 price range so I just made up my mind to buy and try!
It contained 3.5ml which isnt too bad. I think the Dollywink has more product though. So the Dollywink would be more worth it!

Packaging: 4/5

When I bought this and went home I didnt realise that it was already opened by someone else. The part where the lid and where the product is stored would usually be taped together but mine was broken so that people could open it. I was too lazy to refund it so I just left it. So if anyone is going to buy this make sure it is securely taped before buying! Now onto the applicator..
The brush tip is actually pretty thin but can also make thick lines. What I like about this is that it is a brush applicator and it is really easy to use (in my opinion). If you didnt know, my eyes are actually uneven, one has 2 creases on my eyelid so I have to make my eyeliner thicker than the other and this eyeliner is easy to do so. I can easily make a thin line on one eye and a  thicker line on the other.

Pros:

-Dries matte
-Lasts a long time without smudging, fading or flaking if untouched throughout the day!
-Really easy to remove

Cons:

-Takes a while to dry if you put too much product
-It's not waterproof, I repeat! It will smudge if water gets onto it.
-Can be hard to use the applicator if you arnt used to it

Lasts a long time even after my eyelid starts to get oily, it's amazing!
I really do recommend this to anyone who's looking for a liquid liner for an everyday use! I replaced this with my Dollywink and I'm in love with it at the moment, though Dollywink is still my all time favourite liquid liner!
