Haul- Rimmel Xmas 2011 Pack

Bought the Rimmel Xmas 2011 Pack a few weeks ago at Priceline just for $9, it was marked down from $24.95 to $9 which was a very good deal even though the products were probably on the shelves for a year. But I needed a new eyeliner and instead of buying an eyeliner for $9 I got to have nailpolish, mascara, eyeshadow and eyeliner for the same price also including a cute bag that stored them all!

So inside the bag it contained

  • I Love Lasting Finish Nail Polish in 'Cranberry Zest'
  • Glam'Eyes Eyeshadow Quad in 'Smokey Noir'
  • The Max Bold Curves Mascara in 'Black'
  • Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil in 'Jet Black'

Tried to make the pictures similar haha. [[Sorry for the blurriness]]

The G Mesh Bag that stored all the products, it was very shiney and flowy. It makes a pretty cool makeup bag for travelling.

I Love Lasting Finish Nail Polish in '066 Cranberry Zest'

It was a hot pink colour on the nails which also smelt like cherries!
I wasn't really into dark colours on my nails but I like doing nail art so this colour might come in handy.

Glam'Eyes Eyeshadow Quad in 'Smokey Noir'

When I saw that the pack came with this, I immediately wanted this. I only thing I usually wear on my eyes is just a very sheer eyeshadow and eyeliner. But I did have a thing for dark, neutral eyeshadows. The colour on the far right made me want it more.

The Max Bold Curves Mascara in 'Black'

Saw this and wasn't really sure if I was going to like it or not, I mean I already had a masara favourite (Maybelline One By One..review coming soon) so I was like, sure why not try a new mascara?!

Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil in 'Jet Black'

I pretty much died on the inside when I saw that this was also in the bag. I had been wanting to buy this eyeliner for so long after many people raving about it online. So of course I bought the pack just because of this.

I will be doing reviews on each of the products in the future!

Like my new signature? :)

EOS Lip Balm- Honeysuckle Honeydew & Summer Fruit

Favourite lip balms of all time! :)

I've heard so much hype about the EOS lip balms, about how it's so adorable in its egg shape and its wide range of different colours and flavours.
EOS stands for the "Evolution of smooth" the brand specialises in lipbalms, creams and lotions.
On the plastic packaging the EOS lipbalms are 100% Natural, 95% Organic and not tested on animals. Now that already attracts to me already.
I did a little researching and went on their website.
  • Long-lasting moisture [[Long lasting stood out to me the most!]]
  • Shea butter & vitamin E [[Good for the heart and skin]]
  • Smoothes on clear
  • New smooth sphere precisely glides on to lips [[Makes it extra easy to use]]
  • Twist-off top [[It helps keep the top on, the tops that you pull off can easily be opened]]
  • Gluten-free [[My friend has a gluten allergy so this would be perfect for her!]]
  • Paraben-free
  • Petrolatum-free
  • Phthalate-free

So my dad went back to Hong Kong and I gave him a list of makeup products to get from SaSa. He came back with my EOS lipbalms in Summer Fruit and Honeysuckle Honeydew.
Basically I let my dad buy any of the EOS lipbalms since I didn't have a particular flavour/colour I wanted, I was maybe wanting the yellow one because it was yellow (favourite colour) and it was a lemon flavour (I love lemons haha) but the SPF part really put me off, i know its good and all but I have this OCD/habit in thinking that SPF makes the skin look greasy (like in foundations or sunscreen) I have no idea how that would work in lipbalm form though, but I'll let you know that my P.O.V is way off.

Price: 39 HK Dollars (Around $5 in AUD)

The price is definitely worth it. Even though its quite expensive if you think about it. Most lipbalms are around $3-$4 but I would be willing to buy it bbecause its just soo much cuter and easier to use than most lipbalms.

Packaging: 5/5

The packaging is just so cute, the colours are also adorable, I just want to collect them all because they would look cool as a decoration on my desk haha.

Product: 5/5

Pros:

-Tastes like their name/flavour. No joke, I mostly only use EOS just because I like to taste it.
-The smell is heavenly aswell
-Moisturises well! Makes my lips smooth and soft the day after :D
-Sosososo cute packaging.
-Easy to apply on the lips, I dont even have to open my mouth to apply it.

Cons:

-Hard to get in Australia

Conclusion:

Overall this is a must have product that you can use everyday, just pop it into your bag and use it. I was happy with my lips after the use and the taste and smell makes me want to eat it, even though I already do.

Nails of The Week !

Recently bought a Rimmel Xmas Pack 2011 which was marked down to $9, it contained a few makeup products which I'll be posting later on this week or next week!
So one of the products was the Rimmel London Lasting Finish Nail Polish in 066 Cranberry Zest.
It claims to have a fruit scent when dry. The smell reminds me of a medicine smell. Kind of like the cherry flavoured starbursts.
It's a hot pink colour and is very opaque in just 2-3 coats I only put 2 coats since I don't like the thick feeling. But you can still see my nail whites through it.
Anyways I didn't really want to make a review about this so I'm off!

Dollywink Pencil Eyeliner - Black

My dad came back from Hong Kong/Macau just yesterday and bought me some makeup that I requested which I'll prob be doing more reviews on, so watch out for an EOS Lip Balm review and Skin 79 Super BB Triple Function!
Anyways this review will be about the Dollywink Pencil Eyeliner in Black, honestly I asked my dad to get the Liquid Eyeliner incase I ran out of present one but I did want to try the pencil one out so Im still happy (:

Top: Liquid Eyeliner  Bottom: Pencil Eyeliner
Front & Back view

Price: HK$79 around AUS$9-$10

The price really didn't matter to me since my dad bought it haha, but if I used my own money to buy it I would definitely consider getting it! [[You will see why later on]]

Packaging: 4/5 Stars

Honestly, the packaging is the cutest I have ever seen, it just makes me want all the eyeliners to be packaged like it! The only downside to it is taking the lid on/off, i mean its easy to take off but when you put it back on I didnt even know if it was closed or not. This is my opinion so some other people may disagree, but silly Angel didn't fully put the lid on tightly so it fell off. All you have to do is push it in till it cant be pushed but I have an ocd if I push too hard on a lid to an eyeliner pencil that it might squish the product...yeah im odd.

Conducted some tests to see its power!

Product: 3.5/5 Stars

So the pencil pretty much glided in the skin very smoothly, it was quite pigmented, but not as pigmented as the Milani Liquf'eye (most pigmented eyeliner I have). So I did a few tests to see how it compared with Milani.
Smudge Test: I rubbed pretty hard with my finger and the Milani one smudged more than Dollywink but the Dollywink did smudge only a very small bit.
Water + Smudge: I ran my hand over with warm water, nothing happened so then I started rubbing and guess what? The Milani one started to go off, I was actually really surprised with the results. Dollywink has amazing staying power during the tests!
Used it on my waterline :)
Okay so onto the lasting power on the waterline!
[[I did cheat and reapplied on the "3pm" picture]] But I went out with the Dollywink from 3-6, walking around and eating and it did start melting off the waterline, but Im just happy it didnt run down and create panda eyes like most of the pencil eyeliners I use!

Conclusion:
I really do like this pencil most than the Milani since the Water+Smudging test amazed me a lot. But they are very similar once on the waterline. But I would personally get the Dollywink since it lasts longer than Milani. Milani is much more creamier which wastes more product, in my opinion, but the Dollywink is creamy but isnt so creamy that the product goes low fast. But if you prefer a darker and creamier pencil eyeliner I would recommend Milani, but since I don't like harsh lines I prefer Dollywink. I would definately buy it again.

Rainbow Eye Makeup

You can't really see the green nor purple :(

Products Used:

-DB 48 Colour Eyeshadow Pallette
-Essence Kajal Pencil in 17 Neon Sweetie
-Sportgirl To The Point Liquid Eyeliner
-DB Black Kohl Pencil
-Maybelline The Falsies Mascara

So I was playing with my essence yellow eyeliner since I never actually used it so I really wanted to see what it would just look like with just black eyeliner but I ended up putting yellow eyeshadow over it  and using the eyeliner itself as a base, but I then somehow continued building up the colours by putting a coral red in my crease and outer V and then putting orange in the inner eyelid area.
I then put green eyeshadow on the inner lashline and blue on the outer part.
The inner corners were missing something so I put a purple which ended up not looking so well...
But I lined the top lid thinly with my Sportgirl eyeliner and lined the bottom with my DB black eyeliner pencil and then curled and added mascara.

Im actually really happy with the results since I do have asian eyes so it is quite hard for me to do eyeshadow looks and this is the first time it turned out well (:

&& No I will not do a tutorial since this look wasnt planned and I did do random stuff to it and added random colours in.

Latest Haulage!

Sorry for the inactivity! I just don't have the time to blog even though it's the holidays but here's the latest beauty haul I have done.

So a few weeks ago I went shopping and bought a lot of stuff which were on sale since it was the end of financial year sale :D I bought a lot of jewellery & clothes but not many beauty products which is kind of sad... but I only bought 2 things which were:

Maybelline One by One Volum' Express in blackest black- $10 @ Priceline

A review will be coming soon on that, and all i can say is it is best mascara I have ever used in my whole damn life.

Ulta3 Nail Polish in French Pink- $2 @ Target

I needed a new pink nail polish since I used all of my pink ones so I bought that, its a very sheer polish that I think is supposed to be used for a base of french manicures since it is the perfect baby pink colour but it goes into a a deeper baby pink after a few coats of it.

I also bought an eyelash curler at Daiso! I didnt take a picture because I forgot I bought that

Then today I also went out shopping to go buy my penpals birthday present which was a toy giraffe and a penguin witeout, I'll probably be buying more presents for her next week, which means more shopping! Ill be visiting Priceline and hopefully buying the new Savvy by db nail polishes, and Ill maybe do a review (: Anyways onto the haul!

Garnier Clean Sensitive 2 in 1 Gentle Make-Up Remover- $7 and something cents, sorry I didnt even print out a receipt -__- @ Safeway

Might do a review! It was on sale and I was tempted to try it so I bought it.

Ulta3 Nail Polish in Red Glitter- $2 @ Safeway

All I can say is it is sosososoo pretty on the nails and with a red base! (I will take a picture once my pink nail polish starts to chip on me)

Homebrand Make-Up Removal Pads- $1.70 i think @ Safeway

Yeah I needed them so I could use the Garnier makeup remover, it was the cheapest alternative too.
